We are seeking a dedicated People Business Partner to join our team in Amsterdam. In this position, you will be pivotal in ensuring our team thrives in a supportive and engaging environment. As the central point of contact for all HR matters, you will play a crucial role in talent development, recruitment, and the design and implementation of HR projects and processes. You'll collaborate closely with our People & Places team, based in both Amsterdam and Zurich, as well as with our Head of Operations, based in Amsterdam.

As a People Business Partner, you are the key link between the People & Culture team and the business, ensuring the right connection on both sides to build successful teams. Our People & Culture team consist of 2 People Specialists, 1 interim Sr. People Manager, 2 Office managers and a Head of People.

In this role, you will work closely together with the People and Operations team to help us foster an employee-centric environment that ultimately contributes to our mission of transforming healthcare through innovation.

Key responsibilities

• Be our primary contact for all HR-related topics.
• Support employees throughout the entire employee lifecycle, from onboarding to offboarding.
• Drive talent and career development initiatives within the organization.
• Help our team manage recruitment activities to attract and retain top talent.
• Autonomously manage and execute various projects related to engagement & performance management . 
• Together with the People Specialists, own specific HR processes to ensure that we work efficiently and provide a good employee and candidate experience.
• Act as a trusted advisor our employees, coaching and guiding them on all People & Culture-related topics.

Your expertise

• A university degree (HR, business, economics, psychology) or equivalent.
• Initial HR experience, ideally in a small company or start-up environment.
• High ambition, energy, and a drive to grow into a senior HR role.
• A hands-on work style and a results-oriented mindset.
• Knowledge of Dutch labor law, social insurances, and payroll.
• Fluency in Dutch and English; additional languages such as German are a plus.

This position is at between 80-100% capacity. It is important for the applicant to be a resident in The Netherlands, have a valid work permit and preferably be within commutable distance from our office in Amsterdam. Given the nature of Kaiko’s business and the fact that it deals with sensitive data, a Certificate of Conduct will be required upon finalizing the employment contract.
