Platform Security Engineer
As a Platform Security Engineer at Kaiko, you will play a leading role in safeguarding our platform, which handles sensitive healthcare information, while also contributing to its scalability and usability. You will lead the charge in implementing and maintaining robust security measures within our cloud environment, ensuring a delicate balance between security and functionality. Your key responsibilities are;
- Implementing state-of-the-art security practices within our cloud platform.
- Collaborate with our Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) to enforce security policies.
- Define and promote security best practices across the organization.
- Contribute to the development and execution of our comprehensive security strategy.
- Support team members in leveraging and maintaining security tooling features.
- Deploy and manage platform security and development tooling.
- Contribute to the architecture and implementation of a scalable, reliable, and performant platform tailored to user needs.
You have
- +2 years of experience as a Platform Engineer with a focus on Security.
- Proficiency in Kubernetes and experience with major cloud vendors (GCP, Azure, or AWS).
- Strong grasp of functional programming languages (e.g., Python, Go, Rust).
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or Pulumi.
- Knowledge of cloud networking and demonstrated experience in securing cloud environments.
- Expertise in security compliance monitoring and a deep understanding of security principles.
- Experience in hardening Cloud environments while maintaining usability.
This position is a full-time role. The applicant needs to be a resident in either The Netherlands or Switzerland, have a valid work permit and be within commutable distance from our office in Amsterdam or Zürich. Given the nature of Kaiko’s business and the fact that it deals with sensitive data, a Certificate of Conduct will be required upon finalizing the employment contract.
